TL;DR
Production Technician III (RNA Operations, Genomics Medicine) (oligonucleotide manufacturing): Producing therapeutic oligonucleotides through synthesis, cleavage, deprotection, purification, desalting, pooling, and formulation with an accent on cGMP compliance, contamination control, and accurate batch documentation. Focus on operating and troubleshooting manual and automated laboratory equipment, submitting samples for quality control, and organizing production workflows.

Location: On-site in Coralville, Iowa, United States. Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 10am–9pm, with occasional after-hours production support.

What you will do

  • Perform synthesis, cleavage, deprotection, purification, desalting, pooling, and formulation of oligonucleotides.
  • Operate manual and automated laboratory equipment and perform limited maintenance and troubleshooting.
  • Submit oligonucleotide samples for quality control testing.
  • Follow cGMP, FDA Quality System Regulation, laboratory SOPs, safety requirements, and contamination controls.
  • Complete manual batch records and SAP transactions accurately.
  • Organize and prioritize production workflow, including when management is unavailable.

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree in a relevant field, or a high school diploma or equivalent with experience in a relevant scientific manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to work on-site in Coralville, Iowa.
  • Availability for the Monday–Thursday, 10am–9pm schedule and occasional after-hours production support.
  • Ability to follow manufacturing procedures, laboratory SOPs, safety regulations, and contamination controls.

Nice to have

  • Bachelor’s degree in biology, biochemistry, chemistry, life sciences, or a related field.
  • Experience with and knowledge of oligonucleotide manufacturing processes and products.
