What you will do

• Design, build, and operate production-scale Flink-based streaming pipelines at the core of internal workflows.
• Own data quality and observability infrastructure, including schema contracts and freshness monitoring.
• Develop knowledge base tooling to make institutional context queryable for agents and engineers.
• Architect systems for reliable failure recovery to ensure the data platform is trustworthy by default.

Requirements

• 7+ years of production backend or data infrastructure experience.
• Deep expertise with stream processing systems such as Flink or Kafka at production scale.
• Strong distributed systems instincts with a priority on correctness and reliability.
• Proven experience building or owning data quality and observability infrastructure.
• Internal product mindset to effectively serve internal teams as customers.

Nice to have

• Experience with data contracts, schema registries, or data governance tooling.
• Proficiency in JVM languages (Scala, Java, Kotlin) and big data databases like Aerospike or Elasticsearch.
• Contributions to agentic or LLM-adjacent infrastructure.
• Experience acting as a technical anchor in small, high-scope teams.
