What you will do

• Design and implement Java backend components for a multi-threaded, clustered server-side product.
• Develop new features and perform maintenance, bug fixes, and refactoring to improve existing code.
• Conduct unit and integration testing to ensure high standards of reliability and performance.
• Collaborate within an Agile environment, participating in design discussions and code reviews.
• Mentor and support teammates to maintain engineering best practices.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in Java development.
• BSc in Computer Science.
• Strong fundamentals in backend development, specifically multithreading, performance, and memory analysis.
• Proficiency with client/server concepts and web technologies (HTTP, REST, JSON).
• English: High level of proficiency required.
• Location: Must be based in or able to work from Herzliya, Israel.

Nice to have

• Hands-on experience with Apache HTTP Server and Apache Tomcat architecture.
• Experience with distributed/clustered systems and databases such as Elasticsearch.
• Proficiency working in a Linux environment.
• Domain knowledge of storage systems.
