What you will do

• Design and build stable, scalable backend data systems for enterprise advertising platforms.
• Lead architecture reviews and technical planning with data, personalization, and product leadership.
• Develop data pipelines, services, and APIs using distributed processing and cloud technologies.
• Coordinate with engineering, cloud infrastructure, global operations, and incident management teams on production delivery.
• Provide technical direction, conduct interviews, and mentor junior engineers.

Requirements

• 8+ years of software engineering experience with Java, preferably JDK 17 or higher.
• 3+ years of experience designing data applications and data pipelines.
• Experience building RESTful microservices and scalable products on cloud platforms, ideally AWS.
• Hands-on expertise with Spark, BigQuery, AWS EMR, GCP Cloud Analytics, Kafka, Flink, Pub/Sub, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Experience with Snowflake, distributed OLAP systems, data quality frameworks, and observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field, with strong architecture, analytical, and communication skills.

Nice to have

• Experience designing public APIs and data contracts.
• Knowledge of OAuth2 and foundational AWS services.
• Experience with Druid, DynamoDB, SingleStore, or similar distributed OLAP databases.
• Hands-on experience with AI coding assistants and data analytics tools.
