What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain production-grade backend services using Python.
• Build REST APIs and integrate external systems, third-party APIs, and AI inference services.
• Develop batch, streaming, and near-real-time data processing flows.
• Work with AWS services, relational and NoSQL databases, and event-driven architectures.
• Improve CI/CD, deployments, logging, monitoring, and observability for production systems.
• Collaborate with mobile, DevOps, Product, and engineering teams while contributing to planning and technical decisions.

Requirements

• Must be based in Romania for remote work.
• Strong professional backend engineering experience with Python and production-grade services.
• Experience with REST API design, AWS cloud services, databases, and data processing concepts.
• Familiarity with CI/CD, deployment processes, versioning, environment management, and observability tools.
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills in distributed or multi-service environments.
• Ability to collaborate cross-functionally, take ownership, and make sound technical decisions in agile teams.

Nice to have

• Exposure to Go, event-driven architectures, queues, messaging, or asynchronous processing.
• Experience with AI inference services, high-volume workloads, infrastructure as code, containers, or orchestration.
• Experience working closely with mobile engineering teams and production support environments.
