What you will do

• Lead mechanical design and development of custom machines, automation systems, and manufacturing tooling for medical device production.
• Develop detailed 3D CAD models, assemblies, and bills of materials (BOM) using SolidWorks.
• Drive equipment qualification and validation activities, including the creation of IQ, OQ, and PQ documentation.
• Collaborate with electrical, software, and quality teams to integrate reliable and safe systems.
• Perform engineering analyses such as tolerance stack-ups, failure analysis, and root cause investigations.
• Mentor junior engineers and manage project scopes, schedules, and technical deliverables.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree with 7+ years, Master's with 5+ years, or PhD with 3+ years of relevant experience.
• Deep expertise in machine design, automation, or capital equipment development.
• Advanced proficiency in SolidWorks for complex assemblies and formal design documentation.
• Experience with engineering documentation in highly regulated or quality-focused environments.
• Must have U.S. work authorization (Sponsorship is offered exclusively for Principal-level roles).

Nice to have

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Strong knowledge of GD&T, tolerance analysis, material selection, and FEA.
• Experience with robotics, motion control, pneumatics, or vision systems.
• Familiarity with PDM/PLM systems and medical device manufacturing validation.
