Salary: $140,000–$215,000 per year, plus bonus and equity eligibility.

What you will do

• Lead backend engineering initiatives from prototypes through large-scale production applications.
• Design, build, and operate authentication and authorization services for internal and external use cases.
• Develop cloud-based systems and event-driven microservices for global-scale cyber threat detection and intelligence automation.
• Collaborate with multiple product groups to define architecture, improve performance, and strengthen system stability.
• Mentor developers and promote effective engineering practices, testing, code reviews, and continuous integration.
• Contribute to open-source projects and drive adoption of modern technologies.

Requirements

• Must be eligible to obtain GovCloud access, typically through U.S. citizenship or permanent resident/green card status.
• 8+ years of production backend development experience with Go, Java, Scala, Node, Python, or C#/.NET Core.
• Experience with authentication, authorization, and fine-grained authorization rules.
• Experience building high-scale event-driven microservices processing at least 5 million events per day.
• Strong understanding of distributed systems, horizontal scaling, sharding, partitioning, concurrency, and parallel processing.
• Experience applying AI technologies to improve decision-making, workflows, efficiency, and business outcomes.

Nice to have

• Experience with OpenFGA, Zanzibar, or similar fine-grained access control systems.
• Open-source library leadership or significant open-source contributions.
• Additional experience with Go, Scala, AWS, Cassandra, Kafka, or Elasticsearch.
• Previous cybersecurity or intelligence industry experience.
