What you will do

• Review business requirements, data flows, and key metrics to define data test scenarios and acceptance criteria.
• Collaborate with Data Engineers and BI Engineers on validation rules, anomaly thresholds, and release checklists.
• Perform manual testing and reconciliation across APIs, databases, dashboards, web-crawled data, semantic tables, and AI outputs.
• Develop SQL/Python automation scripts to query databases, call APIs, and compare data across multiple sources.
• Monitor data freshness and quality, investigate root causes, create issue tickets, and configure anomaly alerts.
• Integrate automated data tests into CI/CD pipelines and maintain test documentation, validation rules, and monitoring logs.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
• 2–4 years of experience as a Manual/Automation Tester, QA Engineer, Data QA, Data Analyst, or Data Engineer.
• Strong SQL skills and experience with relational databases.
• Hands-on experience writing automation scripts in Python or a similar language.
• Understanding of data quality, anomaly detection, reconciliation, data freshness, defect lifecycle, and regression testing.
• Good written and spoken English is required, with the ability to collaborate with technical and business stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Experience with APIs and JSON data structures.
• Familiarity with Jira, Azure DevOps, TestRail, or similar tools.
• Exposure to Power BI, Tableau, Looker, or other BI platforms.
