Location: Tokyo, Japan (Hybrid field/office role)

What you will do
- Serve as the primary medical and scientific point of contact for HCPs, medical societies, and regulators in Japan.
- Develop and execute local medical plans to address unmet medical needs (UMRs) and fill data gaps in the lung cancer therapeutic area.
- Establish and maintain collaborative, non-promotional scientific relationships with key external stakeholders and experts.
- Provide scientific input for clinical trial protocol feasibility and collaborate with global teams to ensure the timely completion of -sponsored trials.
- Collect and share medical insights from the field to inform internal product life cycle strategies and brand plans.
- Ensure all activities are conducted in compliance with company policies and MHLW Guidelines for Prescription Drug Sales Information Activities.
Requirements
- Education: Master's degree in life sciences, Pharmacy license, or MD/PhD.
- Expert medical and pharmaceutical knowledge in oncology or relevant therapeutic disease areas.
- Language: Proficiency in written and spoken Japanese and English (Minimum TOEIC score of 730).
- Ability to communicate effectively and build professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Deep understanding of pharmaceutical industry compliance and relevant laws/regulations.
- Location: Must be based in or be able to work in Tokyo, Japan.
Nice to have
- Previous experience in Medical Affairs (MA) or Development Japan (DJ).
- Experience with scientific publications.
- For MDs: Clinical experience and board certification.
