TL;DR

Location: Tokyo, Japan (Hybrid field/office role)

What you will do

  • Serve as the primary medical and scientific point of contact for HCPs, medical societies, and regulators in Japan.
  • Develop and execute local medical plans to address unmet medical needs (UMRs) and fill data gaps in the lung cancer therapeutic area.
  • Establish and maintain collaborative, non-promotional scientific relationships with key external stakeholders and experts.
  • Provide scientific input for clinical trial protocol feasibility and collaborate with global teams to ensure the timely completion of hirify.global-sponsored trials.
  • Collect and share medical insights from the field to inform internal product life cycle strategies and brand plans.
  • Ensure all activities are conducted in compliance with company policies and MHLW Guidelines for Prescription Drug Sales Information Activities.

Requirements

  • Education: Master's degree in life sciences, Pharmacy license, or MD/PhD.
  • Expert medical and pharmaceutical knowledge in oncology or relevant therapeutic disease areas.
  • Language: Proficiency in written and spoken Japanese and English (Minimum TOEIC score of 730).
  • Ability to communicate effectively and build professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Deep understanding of pharmaceutical industry compliance and relevant laws/regulations.
  • Location: Must be based in or be able to work in Tokyo, Japan.

Nice to have

  • Previous experience in Medical Affairs (MA) or Development Japan (DJ).
  • Experience with scientific publications.
  • For MDs: Clinical experience and board certification.
