Senior Medical Information Manager (Pharmaceutical Medical Information): Managing multiple Medical Information teams and overseeing enquiry handling services for pharmaceutical and healthcare clients with an accent on quality, regulatory compliance, client delivery, and operational efficiency. Focus on leading process improvements, managing adverse event and product complaint reporting, developing staff, and maintaining service continuity during critical client issues.
Location: Japan; remote working is supported, with hybrid work encouraged for hires within a reasonable commute of an office.

What you will do
- Manage and provide direction to multiple Medical Information teams handling client enquiries.
- Maintain service quality, productivity, KPIs, SLAs, SOP compliance, and effective workload distribution.
- Oversee recognition and reporting of adverse events and defective product reports in accordance with company procedures.
- Lead client implementations, prospective client meetings, and Medical Information-related business development activities.
- Coach, mentor, recruit, and develop staff while planning headcount, training, and performance reviews.
- Lead department operations, process improvements, critical projects, and business continuity activities.
Requirements
- Degree in life science, pharmacy, nursing, or an equivalent qualification, and/or five or more years of management experience.
- Required experience in Medical Information within the pharmaceutical industry.
- At least two years of management experience, including supervision of others.
- Call center and project management experience.
- Knowledge of regional healthcare systems, pharmaceutical regulations, Medical Information services, and industry best practices.
- Strong medical writing, scientific data interpretation, communication, organization, delegation, critical thinking, and decision-making skills.
Nice to have
- At least three years of safety assurance or related experience and the ability to act as an Entrusted Safety Control Implementation Supervisor.
