Salary: $106,000 – $176,600 per year

What you will do

• Lead the protein biochemistry team within the Viral Vaccine Department.
• Drive early-stage development of complex viral glycoproteins and antigens.
• Build, develop, and manage a team of scientists and associate scientists.
• Implement and optimize purification and characterization techniques such as FPLC, HPLC, and BLI.
• Collaborate with immunology, virology, and assay development teams.
• Author technical reports and present findings and strategies to leadership.

Requirements

• Ph.D. in Biochemistry, Biophysics, Structural Biology, or a related discipline.
• 4 to 7 years of industry laboratory experience.
• Deep hands-on expertise in recombinant protein expression and purification methodologies.
• Proven track record of supervising and mentoring junior laboratory staff.
• Must be authorized to be employed in the U.S. by any employer (No visa sponsorship available).

Nice to have

• Managerial experience in a commercial research and development setting.
• Experience with direct report performance management and development.
• Strong project management skills and ability to meet tight deadlines.
