About the Role

You will design and implement scalable solutions within EQT Tech's Fintech value stream, collaborating with tech leads, engineers, and external partners to support investment technology. You will assess current architecture, define technical standards, design system integrations, and contribute to the long-term architectural direction across value streams.

Requirements

• 8-12 years of experience across software engineering and architecture
• Experience designing systems in regulated or data-sensitive environments
• Strong software engineering background with hands-on experience designing and maintaining complex, high-availability systems that handle sensitive data
• Strong understanding of system integrations, APIs, and data architectures
• Proven ability to drive implementation from initial requirements to high-level solution design and progress tracking
• Strong leadership and coaching skills
• Excellent communication skills
• Proactive mindset with a desire to learn, adapt, and drive continuous improvement
• Curiosity about applying AI and advanced analytics to drive business value and innovation
• Hands-on experience with modern data stacks and frameworks such as dbt, Snowflake, SQL, and Fivetran
• Familiarity with financial systems such as Netsuite, Kyriba, Hazeltree, MRI, or Aaro, and BI tools like PowerBI or Hex

Responsibilities

• Partner with tech leads and engineers to support the Fintech Value Stream in new projects and initiatives
• Engage in technical discussions with third-party service providers and internal teams to ensure a structured approach to solution development
• Assess current architecture, team capabilities, and resource allocation to determine the best approach for future implementations
• Develop new architectural solutions and enhance existing ones to ensure they are harmonized, scalable, and efficient
• Establish technical standards, best practices, and improved ways of working across Tech teams
• Collaborate with other Value Streams and Platform Teams to define interfaces, ownership, and capabilities within the Fintech domain
• Design system integrations, ensuring seamless connectivity between internal systems, new external systems, and vendors
• Work closely with the Head of Architecture and the Head of Fintech to support key strategic initiatives
