UX/UI Designer - Shopify

TL;DR

UX/UI Designer - Shopify (Shopify/ecommerce): Designing and optimizing mobile-first Shopify storefront experiences with an accent on UX, UI, conversion, and responsive design. Focus on creating Figma interfaces, refining Shopify themes, supporting A/B testing, and solving complex customer-journey and implementation challenges with engineering partners.

Location: 100% remote; work from anywhere in the world.

What you will do

• Design intuitive and visually compelling ecommerce experiences for Shopify storefronts.
• Create and iterate on mobile-first, responsive user interfaces in Figma.
• Improve customer journeys and conversion through thoughtful UX design.
• Support A/B testing and conversion-focused design initiatives.
• Customize Shopify themes and refine storefront design improvements.
• Partner with developers to ensure accurate implementation.

Requirements

• English: upper-intermediate to fluent speaking and writing proficiency required for real-time conversations.
• 4+ years of hands-on UX/UI design experience.
• 4+ years of hands-on Figma experience with advanced proficiency.
• 3+ years of hands-on Shopify experience designing storefronts.
• At least 1 year of hands-on JavaScript and Liquid experience.
• Experience with mobile-first design, A/B testing, conversion-focused design, and Shopify theme customization.

Nice to have

• Strong understanding of ecommerce best practices and conversion rate optimization.
• Experience designing customer journeys and improving overall user experience.
• Experience working with cross-functional product and engineering teams.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent demonstrated ability.
