What you will do

• Investigate and respond to security events and incidents across cloud infrastructure, endpoints, and identities.
• Design, improve, and tune detections, playbooks, and response processes to reduce risk.
• Collaborate with Security Engineering and IT teams to optimize tooling and reduce alert noise.
• Contribute to automation initiatives and experiment with AI agents to improve operational workflows.
• Manage onboarding of new log sources, parsing, normalization, and telemetry visibility.
• Participate in a shared on-call rotation for high-priority security incidents.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in a Security Operations Center (SOC) or similar cybersecurity role.
• Strong expertise in incident response, detection engineering, and threat investigation.
• Excellent communication skills to explain technical concepts to diverse audiences.
• Proactive mindset with the ability to solve complex problems without a predefined playbook.

Nice to have

• Experience securing AWS cloud environments.
• Proficiency with SIEM, EDR, or cloud security platforms.
• Experience in automating repetitive security tasks or building operational tooling.
• Previous consulting experience or work within a small, multi-functional SOC team.
