Location: Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan, Canada. Part-time casual position of up to 16 hours per week, with assigned shifts, standby, and irregular hours.

What you will do

  • Provide independent primary clinical care and direct patient services in the community.
  • Identify health needs and risks, conduct initial psychological interviews and assessments, and develop and monitor care plans.
  • Support youth experiencing mental health, addiction, physical health, and care coordination needs.
  • Collaborate with HOMEBASE staff and interdisciplinary partners across health, social, justice, education, and community services.
  • Maintain and operate ambulances and related equipment in line with patient needs, public safety, and applicable protocols.
  • Participate in safety initiatives, reporting, documentation, and ongoing professional development.

Requirements

  • Current registration or eligibility for registration as a Primary Care Paramedic with the Saskatchewan College of Paramedics, with good standing and required provincial licensure.
  • Valid Saskatchewan Class 4 Driver's License or equivalent, current ITLS and CPR C for Health Care Providers, criminal record check, and driver's abstract must be submitted with the resume.
  • Graduation from a recognized Community Paramedic Program or willingness to complete the required training.
  • Experience with vulnerable populations, persons with disabilities, community care, interdisciplinary teams, program development, and case management.
  • Ability to work all assigned shifts, exercise independent clinical judgment, maintain confidentiality, and perform physically demanding duties.
  • English required; French is not required.

Nice to have

  • Nonviolent Crisis Intervention training.
  • Suicide risk assessment and violence risk assessment training.
  • French language skills and knowledge of local community health care needs.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Teams, Google Drive, and electronic medical record systems.
