Salary: $126,000 - $180,000

What you will do

• Build IaC, CLI tools, and CI/CD automation to make database provisioning and scaling self-service and repeatable.
• Optimize and scale relational databases, specifically PostgreSQL and Amazon Aurora, focusing on replication and failover.
• Design and manage a fleet of datastores including NoSQL, columnar, and key-value systems.
• Implement SRE practices such as SLOs, error budgets, and proactive monitoring to ensure high availability.
• Integrate data pipelines with real-time messaging systems like Kafka or Kinesis.
• Continuously automate repetitive operational work and contribute to platform playbooks.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in infrastructure or data platform engineering.
• Specialist-level expertise in managing and scaling cloud-native relational databases (PostgreSQL, Aurora).
• Proven SRE mindset with experience building automation and guardrails to eliminate manual operations.
• Hands-on production experience with at least one non-relational paradigm (NoSQL, columnar, etc.).
• Proficiency in Terraform and scripting languages such as Python or Go.
• Experience with AWS data services (RDS, Redshift, EMR) and CI/CD pipelines.
