What you will do

• Shape the Data Science and Applied AI roadmap to identify high-impact areas for predictive modeling and optimization.
• Lead the development of production models for matching, scheduling, and operational prioritization.
• Implement modern AI and agentic workflows to enhance decision-making and operational execution.
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Operations from problem definition through deployment.
• Establish standards for evaluating, monitoring, and responsibly deploying ML/AI systems.
• Coach and grow the data science team while remaining hands-on in high-priority projects.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in data science, ML, operations research, or applied AI.
• 3+ years of experience leading technical teams.
• Proven track record of building production-level models that influence business outcomes.
• Ability to determine the appropriate technical approach (prediction, optimization, AI agents, etc.) for a given problem.
• Strong communication skills for technical, operational, and executive audiences.
• Must be based in the US (indicated by 401k and US-specific benefits).

• Experience in marketplace, logistics, workforce scheduling, or healthcare.
• Expertise in forecasting, recommender systems, or causal inference.
• Degree in a quantitative or technical field.
