Backend Developer (Pharmaceutical Domain)

What you will do

• Design and implement backend features and scalable service components with Node.js, TypeScript, and NestJS.
• Develop, refactor, debug, maintain, and test software through unit and integration testing.
• Design RESTful APIs and service-to-service communication within a microservices and event-driven architecture.
• Participate in architecture discussions, technical solution design, code reviews, and engineering planning.
• Prepare technical documentation and collaborate directly with the Sweden-based customer and cross-functional teams.
• Contribute to SAFe Agile estimation, grooming, planning, and continuous delivery activities.

Requirements

• 3+ years of commercial software development experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with JavaScript, TypeScript, Node.js, NestJS, and production use of Next.js.
• Experience with PostgreSQL or similar relational databases, Docker, Kubernetes, and NATS.io or comparable event-streaming technologies.
• Understanding of scalable API design, microservices, event-driven systems, application security, IAM/SSO integrations such as Keycloak, and CI/CD workflows.
• Strong analytical, communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently.
• Upper-Intermediate English level or higher and availability to work remotely from Europe.

• Experience in pharmaceutical, healthcare, or life sciences domains.
• Experience with Python, R, scientific or analytical platforms, data visualization, cloud platforms, or distributed systems.
