Backend Developer (Fintech)

TL;DR

Backend Developer (Fintech): Developing and maintaining scalable, high-performance backend services with an accent on Node.js, TypeScript, and AWS. Focus on designing APIs, database architecture, and supporting project architecture decisions while collaborating with clients and teams in the Polish time zone.

Location: Remote, Hybrid, or Onsite within Poland time zone

Salary: PLN 16,000 - 24,000 + VAT (B2B contract)

What you will do

• Write readable, maintainable JavaScript/TypeScript code with OOP principles
• Design and modify database structures and write documentation
• Communicate technical solutions and propose alternatives
• Support architecture decisions and project direction
• Maintain continuous client contact and foster strong relationships
• Lead backend development efforts, share knowledge, and perform peer code reviews

Requirements

• Must have 4+ years commercial experience in Node.js and backend frameworks like Express.js or NestJS
• Proficient in TypeScript, REST APIs, GraphQL, SQL/NoSQL databases, and AWS services (S3, Cognito, SNS, SQS)
• Experience with Docker and basic DevOps skills (GitHub Actions)
• English level B2/C1 to cooperate with American clients
• Polish level C1 for team communication
• Knowledge of Scrum and Agile methodologies

Nice to have

• Experience with Serverless, open-source contributions, and various backend frameworks
• Experience in early product development stages and architectural decision documentation (ADR)
