Finance Manager

TL;DR

Finance Manager (Financial Reporting/Analysis): Leading the day-to-day finance function for a growing operational business with an accent on management accounts, cash visibility, financial controls, and commercial reporting. Focus on building forecasts, reconciling operational data to the general ledger, and supporting complex pricing, investment, and working-capital decisions.

Location: Redcar, UK; hybrid schedule with 3 days on site and 2 days working from home

Salary: £50,000–£60,000 per year

What you will do

• Own the monthly management accounts process and prepare commentary against budgets, forecasts, and prior periods.
• Maintain short-term cashflow forecasts and support longer-range working-capital planning.
• Oversee cash reporting, customer collections, supplier commitments, payment planning, and invoice finance administration.
• Support year-end accounts, audits, tax compliance, VAT records, and statutory submissions.
• Provide financial analysis and scenario modelling for pricing, investment, and operational decisions.
• Build budgets, forecasts, and performance dashboards aligned with business drivers.

Requirements

• ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualification, or qualification by experience.
• Significant experience producing monthly management accounts and maintaining strong balance-sheet controls in an SME or operational environment.
• Experience with stock accounting, costing, and margin analysis.
• Ability to reconcile operational records to the general ledger.
• Advanced Excel skills and the ability to analyse complex data.
• Ability to work on site in Redcar three days per week.
