What you will do

• Lead the evolution of the technical accounting and financial reporting function during institutional growth.
• Direct forensic review and reconciliation of historical data to establish an audit-ready financial foundation.
• Connect custodial and on-chain transaction data with GAAP reporting and ensure traceability to source records.
• Research complex accounting matters involving ASC 606, ASC 805, principal-versus-agent considerations, M&A integrations, and DeFi yield protocols.
• Draft financial disclosures, MD&A, and S-1/F-1 prospectus materials for potential SEC engagement and registration statements.
• Design SOPs for offshore teams and improve integration between crypto sub-ledgers and NetSuite.

Requirements

• Experience in Big Four audit or technical accounting, accounting advisory, or in-house accounting at a high-growth digital assets, fintech, broker-dealer, or investment banking company.
• Ability to build legal entity financials from high-volume, unstructured data sources.
• Proficiency with Workiva, NetSuite, and crypto sub-ledgers such as Luca, TaxBit, or BitWave.
• Direct experience with SEC pre-clearance, purchase accounting under ASC 805, and DeFi accounting.
• Ability to partner with Trading and BizDev teams to assess the accounting impact of DeFi yields and wrapped assets before launch.
• Proven ability to create SOPs for offshore teams and improve month-end close cadence.
