What you will do

• Refine feature specifications with the product manager.
• Develop and support Linux-based server software primarily in Python.
• Build and maintain XML-RPC and REST web APIs.
• Implement and support VPN features including remote access, site-to-site connectivity, load balancing, failover, and access controls.
• Collaborate with developers on software development and deployment.
• Apply asynchronous programming and contribute to reliability, monitoring, and performance improvements.

Requirements

• At least five years of programming experience.
• Strong Python 3 programming skills and experience with asynchronous programming.
• Experience developing JSON and REST APIs on both server and client sides.
• Knowledge of HTTP, HTTPS, relational databases, MySQL, SQLAlchemy, Git, and standard software development practices.
• General knowledge of SSL VPNs, encryption, PKI, and related security concepts.
• Upper-intermediate English or higher, spoken and written.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of TCP/IP, UDP, TCP, sockets, and other networking protocols.
• Strong Linux networking experience and understanding of the Linux network stack and kernel networking modules.
• Experience with Boost, Ember, Twisted, open-source projects, or web UI development.
