What you will do
- Build and own an observability platform for customer events, logs, and traces using OpenTelemetry.
- Deliver dashboards and visualizations that provide real-time visibility into system health, issues, and trends.
- Design telemetry-driven notification and alerting systems using heuristics, AI agents, and lakehouse intelligence.
- Develop infrastructure-as-code with Helm and Terraform and maintain standardized application frameworks.
- Partner with SRE, DevOps, product, Support, and Field teams to define best practices and deliver reliable platform solutions.
- Deliver integration milestones with the SAP HANA/BDC platform and engage with the developer community to improve the platform roadmap.
Requirements
- Bachelor's, Master's, or higher degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- 5+ years of software engineering experience, including 2+ years with Java.
- 2+ years of hands-on infrastructure-as-code experience with Helm, Terraform, or equivalent tools.
- Deep experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Hands-on experience with OpenTelemetry or comparable observability platforms.
- Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and networking fundamentals including TCP/IP, DNS, and HTTP.
Nice to have
- Experience building SaaS microservices and distributed systems.
- Experience with multithreaded or asynchronous programming, NoSQL databases, Redis, or CI/CD tooling.
- Additional programming experience with C++, Go, Python, Node, or Rust.
- Knowledge of query processing, concurrency control, data replication, storage systems, Java GC and heap tuning, Apache Arrow, SQL operators, or data-path optimization.
