What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain robust Java applications and microservices.
• Contribute to architectural decisions to ensure system scalability and security.
• Identify performance bottlenecks and optimize applications for high-volume transactions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product, UX, DevOps, and QA.
• Mentor junior developers and conduct code reviews to maintain high engineering standards.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional software development experience with a strong focus on Java.
• Expertise in Java EE and Spring or Spring Boot.
• Solid understanding of JVM performance tuning and optimization.
• Proficiency in RESTful API design and relational databases like MySQL or PostgreSQL.
• Experience with testing frameworks, CI/CD pipelines, Git, Maven, and Docker.
• Must be based in Germany or able to work from Munich/Berlin offices.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Kubernetes, AWS, or microservices architecture.
• Experience in security-conscious or compliance-heavy environments like FinTech or KYC.
