What you will do

• Design and build key components of Stellar Core, the backbone software of the Stellar Network.
• Develop robust, scalable, and extensible technologies for developers and network participants.
• Collaborate with CTO, engineers, and open source community on architectures and subsystems.
• Write clean, maintainable code emphasizing edge case analysis and future-proofing.
• Own core subsystems and help achieve critical product milestones.
• Investigate and refactor performance bottlenecks to scale the system.
• Author detailed technical feature and protocol specifications (RFCs).

Requirements

• Location: Hybrid work in San Francisco, USA
• 4+ years of software development experience on a team.
• BS or MS in Computer Science or equivalent.
• Proficient in modern C++ or Rust in production environments.
• Strong communication skills to lead technical discussions and code reviews.
• Solid understanding of software design patterns and modular component design.
• Passion for performance debugging and benchmarking.
