Salary: $180,000 - $280,000

What you will do

• Design and build core components of the Stellar Core software.
• Develop scalable and extensible technologies for network participants.
• Collaborate on new architectures and subsystems with engineering leadership and the open-source community.
• Write clean, maintainable code with a focus on edge case analysis.
• Investigate and refactor performance bottlenecks to scale the system.
• Author detailed technical feature and protocol (RFC) specifications.

Requirements

• 4+ years of professional software development experience.
• BS or MS in Computer Science or equivalent.
• Proficiency in modern C++ or Rust in a production environment.
• Strong understanding of software design patterns and modular architecture.
• Passion for performance debugging, benchmarking, and solving complex distributed system challenges.
• Excellent communication skills for technical discussions and code reviews.

Nice to have

• Direct experience designing and implementing distributed systems.
• Strong curiosity and understanding of blockchain technologies and cryptocurrencies.
