What you will do

• Set and evolve research direction for core AI intelligence including memory, reasoning, and orchestration.
• Decide on new model architectures versus adapting open-source or commercial models.
• Define evaluation frameworks measuring real-world usefulness, robustness, and safety.
• Own alignment, safety, and guardrail strategies as product priorities.
• Guide exploration of advanced AI techniques like retrieval-augmented training and multi-agent orchestration.
• Collaborate closely with product and engineering teams to shape product intelligence.

Requirements

• Location: Remote work with presence in China
• Deep experience building or evolving production machine learning systems.
• Strong technical judgment on model behavior and long-term trade-offs.
• Proficiency in Python, PyTorch, JAX, and GPU-based training/inference systems.
• High ownership mentality and ability to make impactful decisions with incomplete information.
