What you will do

• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidated financial statements in accordance with IFRS and HGB.
• Serve as the technical subject matter expert for complex accounting transactions and financial reporting requirements.
• Act as the central liaison between corporate functions and managers within national subsidiaries.
• Lead interaction with external Group auditors during annual audits and reviews.
• Drive process enhancements and system implementations to optimize financial workflows.
• Mentor the group accounting team and potentially lead the growth of the department.

Requirements

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or Economics (CPA is a strong asset).
• 5-7+ years of professional experience in group accounting within international corporations or major audit firms.
• In-depth hands-on experience with IFRS and German GAAP (HGB) including group consolidation.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Fluency in English is required.
• Must be based in Munich.

Nice to have

• Prior experience using NetSuite.
• Experience with consolidation software such as Lucanet or SAP.
• Proficiency in the German language.
