Security Engineer (AppSec)

What you will do

• Remediate vulnerabilities and legacy code by updating outdated libraries and rewriting deprecated components.
• Collaborate with engineering pods to troubleshoot and execute security defect fixes.
• Develop security playbooks and coding standards to upskill the engineering organization.
• Integrate automated security scanning tools (SAST/DAST/SCA) into the SDLC.
• Harden cloud infrastructure via customized firewalls, intrusion detection, and encryption.
• Automate incident response logic to contain system anomalies and minimize downtime.

Requirements

• 5-8+ years of experience in Application Security or Security Engineering.
• Ability to read code and write fixes or scripts to resolve architectural flaws.
• Experience managing technical debt and updating third-party dependencies.
• Proficiency with cloud-native architectures, containers, and CI/CD integrations.
• Knowledge of OWASP fundamentals.
