Senior Engineer, Application Security (Cybersecurity)

Location: Remote within the United States, with regular travel to Carnival headquarters in Miami, Florida. Candidates are primarily sourced from Orlando, Tampa, Atlanta, Houston, and Dallas; if the search expands, candidates must be located in Florida, Georgia, Texas, or North Carolina.

What you will do

• Implement, operate, and maintain security controls and tools for identifying vulnerabilities, misconfigurations, and incidents.
• Assess application vulnerabilities using security scanners and bug bounty findings, and support remediation with development teams.
• Automate application security governance processes, reporting, and controls through software, scripts, and APIs.
• Develop and maintain cloud infrastructure and Kubernetes clusters using infrastructure as code to host application security services.
• Review applications and releases for compliance with security policies, standards, and guidelines.
• Guide development teams in software security best practices and collaborate across enterprise technology groups.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field, plus 5+ years of professional experience.
• Hands-on experience writing APIs, web applications, and scripts.
• Strong experience operating and administering SAST and DAST security scanners.
• Experience communicating security findings, supporting remediation, performing threat modeling, and conducting adversarial testing.
• Experience with cloud-native development and operations, including CI/CD pipelines, cloud compute resources, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Must be located in the United States and able to travel regularly to the Miami headquarters when required.
