DevSecOps Presales Solutions Engineer (AppSec/AI Security)

Location: Remote in Virginia, Maryland, Pennsylvania, North Carolina, Delaware, New Jersey, or Washington, DC; U.S. work authorization required. Up to 25% travel required.

What you will do

• Partner with Account Executives and senior AppSec and AI engineers to drive new and continued business in the Mid-Atlantic territory.
• Perform technical qualification, discovery, positioning, and solutioning for Application Security and AI security opportunities.
• Explain AppSec and AI risks, controls, and architectural tradeoffs to technical, security, and executive stakeholders.
• Align customer AI goals with foundational Application Security practices across different levels of buyer maturity.
• Learn emerging AppSec and AI technologies, research relevant vendors, and articulate their value for customer security environments.
• Support sales and marketing events, industry conferences, Statements of Work, proposals, and technical collateral while escalating complex objections to senior engineers and practice leads.

Requirements

• Minimum 1–3 years of presales, sales engineering, solutions engineering, or comparable client-facing technical experience that advanced sales.
• Foundational knowledge of Application Security and/or AI security, secure software development, and modern DevSecOps practices.
• Interest in and awareness of AI/ML systems, AI security risks, and emerging AI governance and regulatory considerations.
• Working knowledge of Application Security concepts, including secure SDLC, SAST, DAST, SCA, code review, vulnerability management, or web/API security.
• Familiarity with AI/ML systems and risks such as model security, LLM/GenAI risks, and AI governance.
• Exposure to modern DevSecOps tooling and practices, including CI/CD pipelines, containers, and cloud environments.
• Working technical knowledge of foundational security concepts such as Zero Trust and defense in depth.
• Ability to learn cyber technologies quickly, translate complex technical content into business-aligned outcomes, and communicate with technical and non-technical audiences.
• Strong discovery, troubleshooting, communication, and customer collaboration skills; ability to build technical proof points and demonstrate solutions with senior-engineer support.
