Analytics Engineer

Location: Hong Kong, Hong Kong SAR

What you will do

• Design and maintain scalable user behavior data governance frameworks ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
• Develop internal data tools and dashboards using JavaScript or Python to empower business teams.
• Build and manage automated web-scraping systems for competitive intelligence while ensuring legal compliance.
• Apply machine learning and advanced analytics to forecast user behavior and optimize product features.

Requirements

• Expert-level SQL and strong Python or JavaScript skills for data transformation and tool development.
• Experience with data governance or event instrumentation tools (Segment, GA4, Mixpanel).
• Proven expertise in designing and maintaining data pipelines using ETL/ELT frameworks like dbt, Airflow, or Talend.
• Competency in web scraping technologies and automated scraping workflows.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with clear communication abilities.

Nice to have

• Experience with cloud data warehouses (Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift) and BI tools (Looker, Tableau).
• Familiarity with software development workflows including Git, code reviews, and CI/CD.
• Hands-on knowledge of machine learning libraries such as scikit-learn, TensorFlow, or PyTorch.
• Front-end development experience with React, Vue, or Node.js.
• Awareness of data privacy, legal compliance, and ethical considerations in data governance and scraping.
