What you will do

• Design, implement, and orchestrate scalable data pipelines for large datasets.
• Translate business and analytics requirements into production-ready technical specifications.
• Collaborate with BI consultants and AI engineers to build reliable data foundations.
• Implement data governance, security, and quality management practices.
• Contribute to sales proposals and provide subject matter expertise to clients.
• Mentor junior colleagues and participate in knowledge-sharing within the team.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of experience as a Data Engineer or in a data-focused software engineering role.
• Proficiency in English and either Dutch or French.
• Programming experience with Python.
• Experience with cloud providers (Azure, AWS, or GCP) and distributed computing.
• Hands-on experience with tools like Databricks, dbt, or Airflow.
• Degree in Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.

Nice to have

• Experience with DataOps and platform engineering (CI/CD, IaC).
• Knowledge of streaming workloads, CDC, and SCD.
• Familiarity with data mesh concepts.
