Material Handler (Construction)

TL;DR

Material Handler (Logistics): Manual movement of building materials within office spaces with an accent on picking, packing, and shipping customer orders. Focus on operating forklifts, verifying incoming vendor materials, and maintaining warehouse safety.

Location: Onsite in Mississauga, Canada

Compensation: CAD 20 - 22 hourly

What you will do

• Pick, pack, and ship customer orders with high attention to detail.
• Receive, count, and verify incoming vendor materials and customer returns.
• Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment to load and unload trucks.
• Maintain warehouse cleanliness and safety by removing debris.
• Manage documentation for shipments, including Transportation of Dangerous Goods.
• Coordinate training room setups and furniture movement across departments.

Requirements

• High school graduate diploma.
• Current forklift license is required.
• Knowledge of construction tools and equipment is required.
• Ability to safely lift up to 50 lbs.
• At least 2 years of experience in a material handling position is an asset.
