What you will do

• Oversee ecological construction operations across the Northeastern US, primarily within New York State.
• Manage project budgets, staff scheduling, equipment allocation, and client interactions.
• Drive business development through networking, attending conferences, and establishing relationships with public agencies and private developers.
• Prepare estimates and proposals for complex ecological projects.
• Supervise and mentor junior staff members.
• Lead program budgeting and strategic planning to expand the program's scope and geography.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, natural resources, ecology, geography, or a related field.
• 12-20 years of experience, with at least 10 years of progressive industry experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Thorough knowledge of NY State and Federal environmental regulations.
• Proven track record in leading and mentoring junior staff.
• Demonstrated ability to pursue and maintain high-level client business relationships.

Nice to have

• OSHA 30 Hour Construction Safety Training.
• Certified Ecological Restoration Practitioner (CERP) or Professional Wetland Scientist (PWS) certification.
