What you will do

• Drive the strategic direction, quality, and consistency of the design system to enable AI-assisted UI generation.
• Define the quality bar for product surfaces, ensuring the synthesis of functional and "magical" user experiences.
• Solve complex system-level design challenges involving information architecture and shared components across business lines.
• Partner with product and engineering leadership to contribute directly to product strategy and vision.
• Lead quantitative and qualitative research efforts to inform decisions across broad product areas.
• Mentor and coach other designers, leading initiatives and design reviews to raise the team's craft.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience designing complex B2B SaaS products, operating above a single product team.
• Direct experience owning or significantly shaping a design system, including component strategy and governance.
• Expertise with token-based design systems and libraries spanning Figma and Storybook.
• Must be based in the United States.
• Proven ability to manage ambiguous, cross-team initiatives autonomously from framing to execution.
• Strong communication skills with a track record of influencing executive leadership.

Nice to have

• Experience in accounting, financial services, or other operationally complex B2B verticals.
• Experience leading or contributing to a design guild or community of practice.
