What you will do

• Install, maintain, and troubleshoot high-speed internet, video, and voice networks, including wiring and equipment.
• Perform maintenance and repair on outside plant facilities.
• Climb poles, dig and bury cables, and work in utility access holes or controlled environmental vaults.
• Observe all safety rules and regulations while assisting other technical personnel.
• Support sales and marketing activities and direct customer-facing work.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Must be based in or able to work in Aurora, IN.
• Ability to handle 28-foot extension ladders (up to 75 lbs) and utility access covers (up to 150 lbs).
• Ability to work in confined spaces (attics, crawl spaces) and aloft on ladders.
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions and varying shifts, including overtime and weekends.
• Valid driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record.

Nice to have

• Prior experience as a customer-facing telecom operations technician.
• Basic electricity training or certification.
• ADSL installation and repair experience.
• A+ or Net+ certifications.
