Statutory Manager

Location: In-office in Lisbon, Portugal

Salary: €52,000–€65,000 annual salary for Portugal-based hires, plus eligibility for hirify.global’s equity plan.

What you will do

• Review and formally sign off on monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and cash flow reports.
• Lead external audits and resolve complex statutory accounting and compliance issues.
• Oversee reporting cycles and ensure regulatory filing readiness for legal entities across Iberia.
• Coordinate with global legal, corporate tax, and regional business units to deliver accurate and timely local filings.
• Optimize Oracle and NetSuite financial systems to scale statutory and compliance reporting.
• Drive adoption of automation, AI, and advanced data analytics tools.

Requirements

• 10+ years of progressive accounting and tax compliance experience.
• Experience as the primary reviewer for audited statutory financial statements in a multinational corporate environment.
• Experience managing complex processes, strategic initiatives, and ambiguous financial scenarios requiring independent judgment.
• Ability to analyze significant business issues, evaluate intangibles, and develop effective solutions independently.
• Professional fluency in English is required.

Nice to have

• CPA, Chartered Accountant, or ACCA certification.
• Proficiency with Oracle and NetSuite.
• Professional fluency in Spanish.
