What you will do

• Perform pre-test vehicle preparation including fluid drainage, ballasting, and target application.
• Install and route test instrumentation such as accelerometers and pressure sensors.
• Execute post-test structural teardown and deformation measurements using 3D CMM.
• Modify prototype parts including airbags, restraint systems, and structural components.
• Maintain accurate written and photographic records of all test activities.
• Ensure shop equipment and tools are organized and maintained to safety standards.

Requirements

• Must be based in or able to work in Superior Township, Michigan.
• Experience working in automotive R&D testing environments.
• Proficiency in interior and exterior vehicle component disassembly and reassembly.
• General fabrication skills including TIG/MIG welding and plasma cutting.
• Vehicle diagnostic and troubleshooting capabilities.
• Ability to document modifications in a database environment.
