Software Development Engineer, Lambda - Experience (AWS Lambda)

What you will do

• Design, build, and operate distributed systems for the AWS Lambda control plane.
• Develop high-throughput, strongly consistent, globally available APIs serving customers and CloudFormation.
• Build asynchronous workflows for function creation, code deployment, and version publishing.
• Design metadata propagation across compute fleets and regions with ordering guarantees and resilience to partial failures.
• Own services end to end, from API contracts through data-plane handoff and production operations.
• Participate in on-call rotations and resolve operational issues through root-cause analysis.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• Professional, non-internship software development experience, or recent software development experience within the last three years.
• Strong programming experience in Java, Python, Ruby, Node.js, C#, or C.
• Experience designing or architecting systems, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, debugging, communication, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Ability to manage full application stacks from the operating system through custom applications.

Nice to have

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
• Experience developing and deploying serverless applications with AWS services.
• Experience with event-driven architectures, Lambda integrations, and serverless performance and cost optimization.
