What you will do

• Oversee the coding, testing, debugging, and deployment of enterprise-level software according to functional requirements.
• Lead research and analysis for system modifications, software modernization initiatives, and new project proposals.
• Analyze database schemas, construct advanced SQL code, and deploy database triggers and packages.
• Troubleshoot complex application issues by analyzing system logs, memory utilization, and disk I/O.
• Establish and maintain robust backup and restore processes to support disaster recovery and business continuity.
• Coordinate and review the work of programming staff to ensure alignment with project schedules.

Requirements

• 15+ years of professional experience in Java application development.
• 10+ years of hands-on SQL database experience, including design and schema analysis.
• 8+ years of experience developing large-scale enterprise applications in collaborative environments.
• 5+ years of professional experience working within Linux operating system environments.

Nice to have

• 8+ years of experience with the Atlassian tool suite, specifically Jira.
• 8+ years of experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• 2+ years of experience supporting state-level government applications or public safety systems.
• Experience transitioning legacy mainframe environments to modern Java and SQL databases.
