What you will do

• Lead development and support groups, providing technical guidance and mentoring to junior developers.
• Design and develop complex backend systems using Java 17+ and the Spring ecosystem.
• Implement scalable solutions using relational and NoSQL databases within AWS infrastructure.
• Drive the delivery of business-valuable features and establish high software quality standards and habits.
• Collaborate with end users and internal customers to direct development, debugging, and testing.
• Oversee CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices using Jenkins.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• 8+ years of experience in enterprise Java development (5+ with a Master's degree).
• Strong expertise in Java 17+, Spring Boot, and AWS services (IAM, API Gateway, Lambda, etc.).
• Proficiency in Microservices, Event-driven Architecture, and RESTful API design.
• Experience with messaging tools such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, or Amazon Kinesis.
• Must be located in Chicago, IL.
