Senior AI Engineer

What you will do

• Design and build agent runtimes with planning loops, tool calling, state management, durable execution, failure recovery, and multi-agent coordination.
• Develop production agents grounded in authoritative enterprise data, with human approval gates, override capture, uncertainty handling, and decision evidence.
• Build evaluation harnesses and production metrics for task completion, tool-call correctness, groundedness, reliability, latency, cost, and human intervention.
• Implement guardrails, fallbacks, timeouts, permission controls, tracing, and safeguards against prompt injection, unsafe tool use, and data leakage.
• Integrate agents with platform APIs and enterprise systems, and build retrieval and context pipelines with complete audit trails.
• Build and operate backend services on AWS and contribute to architecture, infrastructure-as-code, and deployment pipelines.

Requirements

• 6+ years of software engineering experience, including production systems.
• Production experience with LLM systems, tool-using or multi-step agentic workflows, LLM APIs, function calling, and planning or execution loops.
• Strong understanding of LLM limitations, failure modes, non-deterministic behavior, and evaluation or debugging methods.
• Solid backend and cloud experience with AWS or an equivalent platform.
• Proficiency in TypeScript and/or Python.
• Ability to own production systems end-to-end and balance accuracy, latency, reliability, and cost.

Nice to have

• C# and Microsoft .NET Framework experience.
• MCP or other tool and interoperability protocols.
• Agentic evaluation pipelines, retrieval and grounding techniques, or regulated-system experience.
• Temporal, Step Functions, n8n, ECS, EKS, Kubernetes, Terraform, or similar technologies.
