Journeyman Systems Security Engineer (Security Engineering, Analyst) (Security Engineering, Analyst): Supporting a federal client by applying systems security engineering to weapon system architectures, protective architectures, and compliance to protection standards with an accent on consequence of compromise analysis, critical analysis/modeling, and risk management. Focus on coordinating across DoD agencies and assisting V&V efforts while serving as a Technical Review Board (TRB) member for systems technical events.
Location: Lexington Park, MD (on-site schedule; eligible for Compressed Work Schedule)
Salary: $70,000 - $104,000 per year

What you will do
- Identify weapon system critical program information (CPI) and determine consequence of compromise.
- Perform critical analysis and modeling on proposed architectures and document protective architectures.
- Develop and advocate contractual requirements supporting developmental programs and evaluate architectures for compliance to protection standards.
- Coordinate with program, service, Joint, and DoD agencies to meet system horizontal protection requirements.
- Support Navy Verification & Validation (V&V) by assessing system designs and solutions.
- Support program risk management, mitigation, and reporting; communicate across technical teams and serve as a TRB member for systems technical events.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of recent and relevant experience in systems engineering, including Systems Security Engineering (SSE) and associated roles.
- Experience applying systems engineering methods and tools to develop weapon systems.
- Knowledge and direct experience in systems engineering, SSE, and cybersecurity related to weapon systems and platforms.
- Knowledge of systems engineering processes and applications.
- Knowledge and experience in DoD systems acquisition life cycle.
- Clearance: current Top-Secret clearance with ability to obtain/maintain Top-Secret/SCI.
