What you will do
- Analyze and optimize the performance of large-scale Java applications across JVM, middleware, and infrastructure layers.
- Investigate production performance issues, identify root causes through profiling and tracing, and drive end-to-end optimization.
- Design and execute performance validation for distributed systems covering throughput, latency, and scalability.
- Improve Java runtime performance through JVM tuning, GC optimization, and memory leak investigation.
- Optimize distributed components including MySQL, Redis, and Kafka.
- Build internal platforms and automation tools for performance testing, diagnostics, and capacity planning.
Requirements
- 1–5 years of experience with Java and distributed systems (exceptional new graduates are welcome).
- Strong understanding of JVM internals, multithreading, and concurrent programming.
- Experience diagnosing bottlenecks via heap analysis, thread analysis, and GC tuning.
- Proficiency with Spring Boot and microservice architecture.
- Hands-on experience with Kafka, Redis, RabbitMQ, or ZooKeeper.
- Must be based in Asia.
Nice to have
- Experience with AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude Code).
