What you will do

• Define and evolve security architecture across AWS and colocation infrastructure.
• Establish reusable control patterns, engineering standards, and automated security guardrails.
• Lead threat modelling, security architecture reviews, and technical risk assessments for new products.
• Design and implement automated security tooling and integrate security into CI/CD pipelines.
• Provide technical leadership for major infrastructure initiatives and act as an escalation point for security incidents.
• Mentor security and engineering teams to foster a secure-by-design culture.

Requirements

• Must be based in the UK with the ability to travel to the Bristol office.
• Deep hands-on experience securing AWS environments and hybrid infrastructure.
• Strong knowledge of enterprise networking, identity management, and infrastructure-as-code.
• Proficiency in Python, Go, or a comparable language.
• Experience leading complex security initiatives across multiple engineering teams.
• Strong understanding of security architecture, threat modelling, and vulnerability management.

Nice to have

• Advanced AWS security or architecture certifications.
• Experience in fintech, payments, or regulated technology environments.
• Familiarity with PCI DSS, SOC 2, GDPR, or NIST frameworks.
• Experience with Kubernetes, container security, and policy-as-code.
