What you will do

• Lead, mentor, and scale a team of talented data and infrastructure engineers.
• Architect and evolve the modern data stack, ensuring robust, scalable backend services.
• Oversee the design of distributed systems and real-time streaming pipelines for high-volume transaction processing.
• Champion Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC), security compliance, and deep observability across the organization.
• Drive cloud cost management (FinOps) to maximize resource efficiency.
• Collaborate with product, data science, and R&D teams to execute complex cross-functional initiatives.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience in data platform, infrastructure, or backend engineering.
• At least 2+ years of experience leading, managing, or mentoring a team.
• Strong proficiency in Python and advanced software engineering principles.
• Extensive experience architecting scalable data lakes and real-time event-driven architectures.
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure), containerization, and IaC (Terraform).
• Deep knowledge of relational and analytical databases, including performance and cost tuning.

Nice to have

• Experience with Apache Iceberg, Spark, and Big Data processing.
• Knowledge of streaming technologies like Kafka, Kinesis, or Flink.
• Familiarity with orchestration tools like Temporal or Dagster.
• Experience with cloud cost optimization and data governance (GDPR/PCI-DSS).
