Data Engineer II (Edtech)

Salary: $115,000–$125,000

What you will do

• Develop and maintain scalable, high-performance data pipelines for student and institutional data.
• Design and optimize data models in warehouses to power BI products and ML models.
• Implement validation, testing, and monitoring frameworks to ensure data quality.
• Improve the performance, reliability, and automation of data workflows.
• Monitor and troubleshoot production data systems to ensure maximum uptime.
• Translate business requirements into scalable and maintainable data solutions.

Requirements

• 2+ years of data engineering experience.
• Strong proficiency in SQL and Python.
• Experience with AWS and data warehouses like Redshift or Snowflake.
• Experience with orchestration tools such as Airflow.
• Solid understanding of relational and non-relational database design.
• Must have legal right to work in the US without visa sponsorship.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Tableau or Salesforce.
• Exposure to supporting predictive analytics or machine learning workflows.
• Experience with Agile engineering practices.
• Experience in higher education, Edtech, or a startup environment.
