Embodied AI Researcher (AI)

Location: Hybrid role based in Englewood Cliffs, New Jersey, United States

Salary: $150,000–$210,000 USD base salary per year, depending on experience and location, plus additional compensation incentives.

What you will do

• Conduct fundamental and applied research in embodied AI and publish research with leading conferences, universities, and AI labs.
• Develop robot foundation and world models for 3D spatial reasoning, dexterous manipulation, zero-shot task generalization, long-horizon planning, and safe human-robot interaction.
• Train multimodal models combining vision, language, tactile sensing, and proprioception.
• Architect scalable data pipelines using high-fidelity simulation, generative AI, and real-world data collection.
• Collaborate with global research teams and hardware partners to integrate embodied AI into LG consumer products.
• Define technical strategy and long-term research roadmaps for embodied AI initiatives.

Requirements

• PhD in Computer Science, Robotics, Machine Learning, or a related technical field.
• Strong publication record and research or engineering expertise in robot foundation models, world models, spatial intelligence, multimodal representation learning, or learning from demonstrations and self-play.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for explaining complex technical concepts across research and engineering teams.
• Ability to work independently and drive technically ambitious research projects in dynamic environments.
• Ability to work in a hybrid setup based in Englewood Cliffs, New Jersey.

Nice to have

• Hands-on experience with robot hardware, including manipulators, mobile robots, RGB/depth cameras, force-torque, or tactile sensors.
• Experience with physics-based simulation platforms such as PyBullet, MuJoCo, or Isaac Sim.
