What you will do

• Conduct fundamental and applied research in Embodied AI and publish findings at top-tier conferences.
• Develop Robot Foundation Models for 3D spatial reasoning, dexterous manipulation, and long-horizon planning.
• Train multimodal models integrating vision, language, tactile sensing, and proprioception.
• Architect scalable data pipelines combining simulation, generative AI, and real-world data collection.
• Collaborate with global research teams and hardware partners to integrate AI into the consumer ecosystem.
• Define technical strategies and long-term research roadmaps for LG's embodied AI initiatives.

Requirements

• PhD in Computer Science, Robotics, Machine Learning, or a related technical field.
• Strong publication record in the field of AI/Robotics.
• Expertise in Robot Foundation Models, World Models, or Spatial Intelligence.
• Experience with multimodal representation learning across vision, language, and tactile sensing.
• Proven ability to independently drive technically ambitious research projects.
• Must be based in or able to work in Englewood Cliffs, NJ (Hybrid)

Nice to have

• Hands-on experience with robot hardware (manipulators, mobile robots) and sensors (RGB/Depth, FT/Tactile).
• Experience with physics-based simulation platforms such as PyBullet, MuJoCo, or Isaac Sim.
