Postdoctoral Researcher, Human Aware Interaction Learning (AI/Robotics)

Location: Cambridge, Massachusetts, United States; hybrid workplace

Salary: $136,800–$196,650 per year for Massachusetts-based roles

What you will do

• Conduct research on computational and machine learning aspects of human-robot interaction.
• Develop approaches for understanding, predicting, and interacting with humans in collaborative robotic settings.
• Research foundation models, novel representations, and embodied interactive policies for long-term shared autonomy.
• Work from research ideation and approach design through validation and empirical evaluation.
• Publish results in venues such as ICRA, CVPR, NeurIPS, and HRI.

Requirements

• Ph.D. in machine learning, artificial intelligence, robotics, human-centric AI, computer vision, or a related field by the end date.
• Experience with robot systems and collaborative scientific projects.
• Strong publication record in top machine learning or robotics venues.
• Knowledge of robot foundation models, imitation or reinforcement learning, synthetic data, shared control, planning, and human interaction.
• Programming experience with Python and deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow.
• Ability to refine a research topic and execute a scientific research plan collaboratively.
